The guitar hook throughout "A Community Service Announcement" by Jonathan Boulet actually makes me feel lighter. 

Jonathan Boulet has just released his debut album. He's signed to Modular, who despite the ubiquity of their Australian Dance/Electronica roster (Presets, Cut Copy, Ladyhawke, Bagraiders and Muscles etc.) continue to make some inspired signings in the realms of pop and rock.

"A Community Service Announcement" has been floating around the AIR Charts for a few months now, and has been joined by Jono's latest single "321 Ready Or Not" which features a breakneck groove, chaotic acoustic strumming and some moments of fragility and tenderness... quite a journey really!

Anyway, as soon as I knock of work this afternoon I plan to finish my Christmas shopping and see a movie with a friend. I'm also going to use the opportunity to buy a copy of Jono's album... It's a gift to myself, a gift of uplifting and totally original pop music... something to listen to in my headphones while enduring boring sessions at the boxing day test or while I'm driving down The Great Ocean Road to The Falls Festival. 

To the clip, a beautiful match of moving image and glorious music... Take Kanye West's word for it (yep, he loves it) it's an amazing clip and if you haven't seen it before then I reckon you're in for a treat... albeit a slightly sinister one.
