Aren’t water slides fun? They are the highlights of any water park. Sliding down from almost 60ft into water is great fun. Here are some of the scariest water slides in the world


The Verrüct – Schlitterban, Kansas City

It is recognised by the Guiness Books of records as the tallest water slides in the world. It is whopping 168 ft and 7 inches tall. Videos taken from the top of this monster has gone viral in YouTube.


The Scorpions’s Tail – Noah’s Ark Waterpark, Wisconsin

The ride is as deadly as it sounds. The people go through a 10 storey, 400 ft loop. It gets over by around 7 seconds which denotes how fast the ride is.


Faser – Galaxy Erding, Germany

It is said that this ride is German engineering at its best. The riders of the Faser are said to regularly achieve a speeds in excess of 45 mph. That’s almost as fast as a car.


Twister and Speedy – Sonnetherme Lutzmannsburg, Austria

These two are said to be the world’s scariest water slides. The first one, Twister is said feature a staggering 660ft descent while the second one, Speedy featured a 440ft descent at breakneck speed.


Jumeirah Sceirah – Wild Wadi Waterpark, Dubai

The Jumeirah Sceirah is the perfect ride for the hardcore thrillseekers. It is a breathtaking tandem slide which gets the rider from top to down in matter of just a few seconds at around 50mph.


Leap of Faith – Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas

The Bahamas is known for the beachside relaxation, but another thing it’s known for is this ride. This ride plunges riders from 60ft high, through a transparent tunnel in a shark filled lagoon.


Insano – Beach Park, Brazil

It was previously recognised by the Guiness records as the tallest water park in the world. It was almost 14 storeys high and brought down riders at a whopping speed of 65 mph.


Aqualoop – Terme 3000 Adventure pool complex, Slovenia

This was the first water slides to include a 360 degree loop and comes in the top five water slides of Europe. It has enough reason to be there considering the speed and height of the slide.


Brain Wash – Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park, Florida

This slide is a unique one as it bombards riders light and sounds inside the slide as they make a 53 ft drop reaching incredible speeds. It’s a visual treat as well. The perfect ride for all-around enjoyment.


Summit Plummet – Beach Blizzard, Florida

It begins at a dizzying160ft off the ground. The riders of this slide plummet along a 360ft flume and they reach upto 50-60 mph regularly.
